Lets Read a Good Book........The Sweet Taste of Muscadines: A Novel by Pamela Terry.

The Sweet Taste of Muscadines: A Novel

The Sweet Taste of Muscadines: A Novel by Pamela Terry.
First I will admit I wanted to read this book as soon as I saw the word Muscadines in the title.   As a southern girl muscadines hold a special place in my heart and bring back memories of childhood and days on  grandma and grandpa's farm.  I was not disappointed, the writer went into much detail of the southern town where the main characters  grew up and described beautifully everything we love about the south.  She also gives you beautiful descriptions of Maine and Scotland. The characters are enjoyable and the story line is that fairy tale I'm sure every child who has ever lost a parent would love to live out. This is the perfect vacation read.
Thank you  #Netgalley for the opportunity to read this book.

Let's Read a Book.......Whirlwind (The Champions #1) by Janet Dailey

Whirlwind (The Champions #1)  by Janet Dailey   is not a relaxing beach read.  This book is full of sadness and struggle  and I was stressed out waiting for the next “ shoe to drop”.  It felt like watching and old 50’s western where bad things just keep happening to the good guys all perpetrated by the rich bad guy who can’t get enough and wants it all.

The main characters very likable and it has a very informative prospective on bull riding and rodeo life.

But again not a relaxing read but one full of suspense and intrigue.

Thank you #netglley for this ARC!

Let's read a Good Book.......Royal, by Danielle Steel

 Royal

Royal, by Danielle Steel is a book that will grab your heart and not let it go.   I have  been reading  Danielle Steel since the 70’s and I always love them.   Danielle Steel  always gives you characters to love and some times to hate ( no haters in this book ) and she will give you scenarios that make you feel a part of them.

This is a modern fairy tale of a girl who is raised  as a commoner   but discovers her connection to the Royal family and is actually a princess.    This book is set in England from WWII through the late 60’s early 70’s.  There are names dropped of many places that we all have hear about because of Princes Diana and the current Royals ( Windsor Castle,  Buckingham Palace, Balmoral Castle).

The perfect escape  has once again been provided by Danielle Steel.

Thanks to Random House Publishing Group – Ballantine, Edelweiss and NetGalley for an advanced copy of this book.
